We have the Tesla, Volt, and Leaf.
I think people are becoming more and more aware of the affect cars are having on the environment, and are looking for more ways to reduce their own personal pollution. Some people might not care, but those that do, will certainly be looking to buy electric vehicles, catchy name or not.
I don’t think that electric vehicles need catchy names for people to be interested in them. People become interested in products for various reasons, such as appearance, what the product can do, and what the product offers. Electric cars interest people who care about the environment and/or eliminating our dependence on foreign oil regardless of car names. On the other hand, catchy names would help with car sales because they are easier for customers to remember.
