Do wind turbines upset bird migrations?

There is mounting evidence that one of the drawbacks of wind energy created from wind turbines is the turbines’ effect on birds.  Many of these wind farms are located in areas that birds use to migrate twice a year.  This disrupts bird migration as they typically would use many of the areas that wind farms have popped up in as habitats to rest during their long journeys.  There are more and more environmentalists who are fighing the production of new wind turbines as they are responsible for the deaths of so many birds during migration.
