do trees grow faster when they are young, and if so, why?

So far there’s nothing to indicate that trees grow faster when they are young. How fast they grow depends on if they have good soil, enough nutrients, water, sunlight, etc. It is also believed that trees have been growing faster recently due to global warming. The global warming provides longer growing seasons for them and the increased carbon dioxide levels help them breathe.
