No. The ocean is a continuous feature of our planet. And, although ocean characteristics are different in different areas, we have different names for different parts of the ocean so that we can refer to oceans in particular regions of the planet.
Perhaps what your thinking of is current that separate the world’s oceans. The patterns of water flow are visible in many areas of the world’s oceans, such as at Africa’s Cape of Good Hope. Here, strong currents from the Atlantic and Indian oceans converge to form extremely rough seas. Additionally, the Gulf-Stream current that runs along the Atlantic Ocean curves back down before entering the Arctic Ocean between North American and Europe.
