There are several prominent brands of baby cribs that promise to be free of the many toxins that most mainstream brands use in the manufacture of their cribs. These cribs do not use some of the toxic vinyls, stain and lacquer finishes or other VOC emitting materials and may also incorporate organically grown fibers into the bedding and mattress material.
Several companies make eco-friendly cribs. The seven brands are Oeuf, Ninetonine, Leander, Spot on Square, Argington, Structured Green, and Nurseryworks. Many of these cribs are made of sustainable wood, such as Nordic Pine and Birch. A lot of the cribs are also painted using paints that do not have toxins like VOCs.
