In a sense, yes. However, the actual energy that the restaurants themselves use (meaning electricity, gas, ect.) probably doesn’t factor in for most of the energy used. Animal agriculture uses the most energy and is easily the most polluting industry in existence. Because steakhouses are such great supporters of animal agriculture, they are definitely a contributing force in their continuation. Therefore, it can be said that they use more energy than any other type of restaurant because their menus are so focused on meat.
