It doesn’t depend on the size of the body of water, so much as the amount of pollution being put into it. Though size has a huge impact as well. Smaller bodies of water will always take less to become polluted simply because there is less water, but if their aren’t any pollutants being put in the water the size is irrelevant. The biggest predictor of pollution is the presence of humans and industrial activity.
