Do sloths live in the rainforest?

    Usually, yes.  They are best suited for environments with lots of trees in which they can climb.  Rainforests are the best habitat for them because of their abundance of trees to live in as well as fruits and leaves to eat. However, some species can also be found in deciduous forests.

    Yes, sloths live in the rainforests of Central and South America. Sloths are uniquely adapted to life in the canopy, the upper level of the trees in the rainforest. Despite their slow movement, sloths have developed many characteristics that help them avoid predators, like growing a fungus in their fur which turns their fur a greenish hue, helping to camouflage the sloth.
