    Sea otter’s diet consists of marine invertebrates, including sea urchins, a variety of bivalves such as calms and mussels, abalone, mollusks, crustaceans, and snails. Bigger otters eat limpets, crabs and octopuses. In a few nothern area in the US, fishes are also eaten. About 50% of the time their diet consists of fish. Sea otters are great for the environment and have been keeping kelp forest healthy by eating animals that graze on kelp.
