Like pigs, rhinos lack sweat glands. Consequently, a rhino needs to drink up to 80 liters of water per day. In order to regulate their body temperature, it’s imperative that rhinos find mud and waterholes to keep their skin cool and to “replenish their bodies natural losses.”
Rhinos do not have sweat glands. They keep cool but rolling in various liquids. The comparison to pigs made by ajbry above is really accurate.
