No. Organic restaurants do not receive any sort of subsidies for putting organic food on their menus. In fact, organic farmers don’t even get government subsidies for growing certified organic produce. Part of the reason that organic foods are so expensive (aside from shorter shelf-life) is because of this.
No, sadly they don’t. However it is still a very good thing to support restaurants that try to be sustainable. If you are in the Chicago area you should really check out the restaurant called “Uncommon Ground”. Not only is their food organic but they grow a lot of it on their roof! They also have their own bee colony to help produce honey, and obviously the building is equipped with solar panels.
