Do reptiles do better in warm climates?

Reptiles are cold blooded animals, which mean that they take on the temperature of their environment. They are hot when their environment is hot and cold when their environment is cold. Cold blooded animals such as reptiles are more active in warmer temperatures and are sluggish in cold temperatures. This is because muscle activity in their bodies depends on chemical reactions which run faster in warmer environments.
