Any wild animal is prone to carrying disease, sometimes not through any fault of their own. For instance, any sort of tick or flea that may live on them can carry numerous diseases. Red foxes themselves can, like most mammals, carry rabies, mites, and tapeworm.
Red foxes can carry diseases, just as any wild animal. They are prone to carrying rabies, and rapid foxes will sometimes attack humans and other animals and spread the disease. They are also susceptible to other diseases of their own species, such as mange and parvo enteritis. The cause of mange is mites, which get under the foxes fur to cause infection, and parvo enteritis is a virus which is transmitted easily through other infected foxes.
