Do rats nests have dangerous toxins?

Rat droppings and urine, which accumulate in the nest, may include various and bacteria and viruses including salmonella bacteria, leptospira, typhus, and hantavirus. Ticks feeding on rats and mice caused the spread of the bubonic plague! While I am not sure these are technically “toxins” they are pretty unsavory.
