Do postage stamps pollute the environment?

Yes, just like basically every manufactured product, postage stamps pollute the environment.  Postage stamps use a variety of dies, glues, and materials which all in some way impact the environment.  The dies and glues are obviously chemicals which, when broken down have the potential to pollute groundwater, and the manufacturing of such things reduces CO2 and requires energy to do.  It would be more eco-friendly to use stamps to reduce the use of paper, glue and dies, but there really isn’t much of a way to do so on a widespread basis.  It would cause people to have to take every letter they send to the post office to get individually stamped, and most people would prefer the easier and more convient way that we do things now.
