Do plants or animals have more cells?

Usually the answer would be animals, especially if they’re close in size/weight.  Animal cells are much smaller and compact; plant cells have a large vacuole that’s mostly water.  Of course, a Giant Redwood has more cells than a fruit fly, so the question should be more specific.
