Do plants evolve in ways similar to Darwin s theory?

Plants are included in general evolutionary theory. If a plant has genes that create traits that cause the plant to die and not pass on its genes, other members of the species (or other plants) will take its place because they were better suited for the habitat (this is very, very simplified).

More information relating to plants and evolution is available below. Remember, plants are living organisms just as animals are, and there is nothing special about plants in general that could keep them from evolving.
