Do plants cause humidity?

In fact the reverse happens. The more humid the air grows, the more luscious the plant becomes. However, too much humidity waterlogs the plant, and no new water (filled with nutrients from the soil) gets drawn up through the roots to replace the old water, which can cause the plant to simply rot.
