Many crane operators belong to the International Union of Operating Engineers. Training is provided by the union. Different databases show different pay data. Here are some of the wage ranges I found:

    Median $17.99 per hour (StateUniversity.com)

    $23 – $35 / hour (Payscale.com)

    $13 – $19 / hour (overhead crane – Payscale.com)

Pay rates can vary by location and specifics to the job.
