Simply put, no, they do not. It is estimated that in 2010 there were nearly 295 million hungry or malnourished people in the world. Far less than 1% of those people lived in developed countries. More than half of those hungry people lived in Asia and the Pacific and a large number are also in Sub-Saharan Africa. The world does in fact produce enough food for every one to be sufficiently fed. The problem, however, is that there is usually insufficient land to grow food or sufficient means to buy food.
