According to WHO statistics, the US has the highest number of deaths due to sleeping disorders in the world. Basd on these statistics we can assume that the US has a higher instance of sleeping disorders than other counties in the world. This actually does mean that people in other countries probably get more sleep, or higher quality sleep, than people in the US. Sleep disorders cost Americans over $100 billion in healthcare fees, loss of productivity, and sick leave every year.
Yes, other countries take more vacation time, longer lunches and some countries even take siestas during their workday and thus enjoy more stress free, and less hectic days. This most likely leads to a more restful and longer sleep time. Also other countries enjoy a better diet than most Americans and thus probably have better sleep patterns than other countries as well.
