Do other countries have a larger percentage of hybrid cars than we do?

In June of this year, hybrid cars accounted for approximately 3% of new cars sold in America. In Japan Hybrids accounted for 8% of new cars sold. In recent months Japan has started to outsell America in hybrid cars. This is attributed to higher gas prices in Japan, government incentives, and excitement about the new hybrid models of the Insight and the Prius.
