do oak leaf hydranga like a very wet soil?

    No.  Oakleaf hydrangea will rot if they are left in very wet soil.  If you are growing one, make sure that the surrounding soil does not remain soggy.

    While they will rot in soggy soil, they do soak up a lot of water, so make sure not to let them dry out too much.
