Do more bikes get stolen than cars in America?

    It is estimated that over 1.5 million bicycles are stolen every year, plus an additional 1/3 to 1/2 of that is estimated to go unreported. In 2004, 1,237,114 motor vehicles were reported stolen. So it is possible that yes, more bicycles are stolen than cars each year in the U.S.
