Do microfiber fabrics off-gas?

The processes used to make the fabric are not sustainable and do pollute the environment. Microfiber material is usually flammable and emits toxic gases when burning. Microfiber is made up of synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon which are made from petrochemicals.  Furthermore, microfibers are not made from a renewable source and are not biodegradable.
