Marsupials not only primarily live in Australia but Central and South America as well. Even one species of marsupials is found in North America! There has also been fossil evidence of marsupials on Europe, Asia, and Africa. But today, they live in Australia, Central America, and South America. They have evolved to fill many niches (developing a vast array of behaviors) in many different habitats, which explains their existence on all these continents.
