Do longer blades on wind turbines generate more power?

Not necessarily. Think of the blades as being gears on a bicycle. If you pedal in low gear you pedal faster but produce the same output as if you pedalled slower with high gear. Longer blades allow the turbine to operate at maximum speed even in mild wind as it can harvest much bigger amount of air passing though.
