Do log cabins trap carbon?

Unfortunately, no. Trees need carbon dioxide from the air to help them grow in the photosynthesis process. Living trees can utilize the carbon dioxide as well for mainanence. But the carbon dioxide is no longer needed when the tree is cut down for a log cabin because it is not going through photosynthesis anymore.
