Not unless something is wrong with the tree! Leaves fall off the tree when cold weather and diminishing sunlight trigger the tree to cut off the flow of fluids to the leaf. The leaf essentially dries up and detaches. Leaves start to decompose on the ground when they become damp and mix with dirt or other decomposing plant matter.
