Your size determines how many calories you need per day to maintain your weight at your current energy use. So, someone who weighs 320 lbs with the same activity level as someone who weighs 150lbs, will eat more food. They burn more calories to maintain that weight.
It depends on what you mean by larger/smaller. If you mean height, then yes. If you mean literal weight, it may not. It has to do with activity level as well as height and build.
