Do large solar companies have to worry about investors anymore?

The solar industry is still growing, however the rate of growth has slowed significantly as a result of the current economic climate. Some solar companies such as OptiSolar Inc. (Hayward, CA) has laid of some 200+ employees as a result.

Because the growth in the industry has slowed, investors are less likely to invest.

Any large solar company that is publicly traded has a legal obligation to any legitimate shareholder and as a result will constantly have to keep the best interest of the investor in mind.

So yes, large solar companies will always have to worry about the investor.
