Kids need more sleep because they need more time for their brains to develop. School aged kids should get around 10-11 hours of sleep per night. As the age gets younger the recommended hours get higher. Adolescents are recommended to get 8.5-9.5 hours of sleep while adults are recommended to get 7-9 hours of sleep per day.
