Do indoor fireplaces that run off of propane put off air pollution?

    Yes, most combustion produces greenhouse gases (such as CO2), though propane produces far less pollution than a normal wood fire. Since a propane water heater produces less than half the carbon emissions of an electric heater, then it must logically produce at least half the carbon of a wood fire/electric fireplace.
