Icebergs and glaciers do not emit gasses. Volcanoes and volcanic mountains emit gasses. Icebergs have, however, been found to “sing.” As they melt and move, their shifting creates a noise which has been described as “eerie” or like a song. Usually the noise is too low for human ears to pick up, but scientists are studying it with radar and believe wales may be able to hear them.
