Apparently, Las Vegas hotels are greener than their image might indicate. In addition to efforts in using sustainable power, reducing power and water usage, and using energy efficient lights, many Las Vegas hotels also make great efforts to recycle waste produced by their customers (lsuch as water bottles and trade show garbage), as well as building from recycled materials. Several hotel and convention complexes, such as MGM’s CityCenter, are LEED certified.
There are a number of Las Vegas hotels participating in Clean the World’s program that collects and recycles soap and shampoo products discarded by the hospitality industry every day.
