Do trees that have larger leafs absorb more carbon?

Trees with larger leaves take in more sunlight which is necessary for photosynthesis, but that does not necessarily mean that they absorb more CO2. Scientists are still working on discovering which trees are best at sequestering the most carbon in a given location. For example, a certain species of tree may absorb different amounts of CO2 depending on the area in which it is planted.
