The typical catalytic converters found in cars use ceramics, which wouldn’t survive well with motorcycle vibration. So some motorcycles use converters made from nickel and other metals that can better withstand vibrations. Consequently, catalytic converters are only found in larger and more expensive motorcycles because of the weight of the devices and the high price of the metals.
