Do halibut migrate?

    Yes, Halibut migrate south as they mature (to counter the drift of eggs), and have been known to be as far south as Oregon.

    As the ref cited in the other answer indicates, they are found as far south as southern California. And that’s the Pacific halibut; there are also Atlantic halibut.
