Do guys use more oxygen than women because they are bigger?

While gender has no bearing on oxygen usage, body size does — primarily because body size is correlated to heart size: the larger the heart, the more energy it can expel to pump O2 throughout a larger body. In short, yes, larger humans must use larger amounts of oxygen in their bodies to achieve the ratio of the gas in their bloodstream than smaller humans.
