Do growers dye their fruits and vegetables to make them more colorful?

    Actually dye them, I don’t believe so. But there are several cases where certain chemical additives are entered during the growing process or after harvest to enhance color – this is not limited to vegetables, for example the presence of carbon monoxide keeps red meats bright red.
