Do grocery stores wash the vegetables at all?

You should always wash store-bought produce before preparing them at home. Vegetables (excluding organic produce, of course) may contain traces of pesticides and dirt. Grocery stores do offer pre-washed veggies that come in bags which may be more convenient to buy, but whose packaging makes it less environmentally friendly.
