    Yes, though which rainforests depend on the type of gorilla. Lowland gorillas live, as their name suggests, closer to sea level. They typically dwell in rainforests up to about 8,000 feet. Eastern lowland gorillas can be found in forests in eastern Zaire, while western lowland gorillas can be found in West Africa and the Congo basin. Mountain gorillas live in eastern Zaire, Rwanda, and Uganda, in rainforests between 9,000 and 12,000 feet above sea level.

    yes they do! And they have certain adaptations that help them survive in that environment, such as dense hair that protects them from stinging plants and insect bites.
