Do fossil fuels or renewables get more subsidies from the government?

According to the 2010 budget request submitted by the department of energy, fossil fuels received about $4,400,000 in total subsidies from during 2009. This in in comparison to the $18,000,000 energy efficiency and renewable energy programs recieved through a combination of direct programs and emergency funds. I have included the budget report, in case you want to see the exact numbers.

    I hope this helped!
