Energy policies adopted by the United States involves a reduction in oil dependence, and not just on foreign oil. The energy policy will address predicted consequences of climate change and global warming. Additionally, these enacted policies affect foreign policy and the US economy. Energy is a major subject undergoing policy drafts right now and those policies are greatly affected by foreign and domestic oil dependence on the American journey away from such dependence and towards renewable energy.
