Do elephants have toes?

Yes, elephants have toes and their toes serve an important purpose. Their feet are formed so a piece of tissue connects the toes to the sole of the foot, and elephants virtually walk on tiptoe. Though they have five toes, they are not pronounced from the foot. Not even all of their toes have finger nails.
