Do eggs have more protein per ounce than beef?

No, eggs actually have slightly less according to this page. It says that while large eggs have 6 grams of protein (I believe this is per egg), “most cuts of beef” have 7 grams of protein per ounce. A six-ounce steak has 42 grams of protein, which averages out to 7 grams per ounce. This site actually says that the protein content in a large egg is equal to that of an ounce of beef, but it also comes out to 7 grams. Hope this helps!
