No most eco-friendly clothing companies use Low-impact fiber-reactive dyes. There are several reasons why. Natural dyes, although are far more eco-friendly than synthetic dyes, still require metallic salts such as aluminium, iron, chromium, and copper for ensuring colorfastness. On the other hand, Low-impact fiber-reactive dyes had major advances over the recent years. They contain NO toxic or heavy metals. This allows companies to choose a wider selection of colors while still being eco-friendly.
