An orca’s dorsal fin will curve over because of gravity. In wild orcas, this happens in about 1% of whales. It happens more in captivity because the orcas are living in a shallow area where there isn’t enough water to support the fin. A dolphin’s dorsal fin isn’t as big as an orca’s, so it is much, much less likely to bend over.
