Do diapers take forever to break down?

According to the Real Diaper Association, disposable diapers take anywhere from 200 to 500 years to break down in a landfill. That’s better than plastic bags, which can take over 500 years to break down, but in comparison, a newspaper takes only a few weeks to decompose.
