Deer eat many acorns, especially in the eastern United States where oak trees are common. Acorns do not contain a lot of protein, but are high in fat and carbohydrates, thus providing an adequate meal for deer when plentiful. Deer also eat nuts, fruits and various wild plantlife.
Yes deer definitely like to eat acorns. Acorns are very high in carbohydrates and a great source of energy for deer. Areas that are high in acorns are usually populated with large deer populations.
